Questions & answers
What are cloud servers?
A cloud server is a cloud-based service that allows you to use the resources of a provider company. The productive physical equipment located in the data center is “virtualized”, and the user receives the pool of resources that is needed for his tasks.
The user can select and change all server parameters - the number of CPUs, the amount of RAM, the capacity of disks, their type, GPU cards, etc. Changing the settings is done in the control panel, and does not require stopping the server, because the resources are allocated from the existing pool. The possibility of crushing the power of the equipment allows only the volume that the user needs. Thereby reducing its operating costs.
What is the difference between cloud computing and dedicated servers?
The main difference between cloud hosting and VPS hosting is resource allocation. A cloud server is created using high-reliability VMware virtualization software to divide the physical server into different virtual servers. Intuitive vCloud Director platform allows customers to manage cloud resources, create new virtual servers themselves, change their configurations, choose their preferred OS from the provided list or install any ISO, manage data backups and even create their own virtual datacenter.
What operating systems can I choose?
We offer cloud servers with Linux or Windows operating systems. If you choose Linux, you can choose from CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu, Arch Linux, Fedora, openSUSE, Slackware and other OS. For Windows servers, we offer Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019 and others.
Can I change cloud server resources and operating system?
When ordering a cloud server on client portal, you select the amount of cloud resources you need. You can increase resources at any time and build as many virtual machines as you want. And you can also choose OS for your virtual servers - choose from the list that we offer or install your own.
Where are your servers located?
Our servers are located in Europe, Lithuania, Vilnius. If you want to review our network performance before the purchase, feel free to visit our looking glass tool on https://lg.time4vps.com.
How many IPv4 addresses are included?
Each one of our cheap VMware clouds includes one IPv4 address. If you need more IPv4 addresses, they can be purchased as add-ons after server deployment (max. 18 additional IPs per single vCloud).
